Introduction Letter for Perez Career Transition Center

Hello Perez Career Transition Center (CTC)! My name is Marcelino Acosta and I am the newest Adapted Physical Education (APE) teacher. I am very excited to be here, after starting my path to APE almost 7 years ago. I first assisted students in APE while attending Cerritos College. I then transferred to the University of California, Long Beach, where I completed my undergraduate degree and credential in Kinesiology K-12, with an added authorization in APE. My favorite hobbies include basketball and swimming, and I also enjoy biking. I look forward to getting to know my students and colleagues here at Perez and working together to optimize student success.

Hello Perez CTC, my name is Rigoberto Sanchez but I go by Rigo. I am one of the new Adapted P.E. teachers and I am very pleased to be at Perez. I have been to Perez before when I was in college and I volunteered in the P.E. department. I enjoyed working at Perez so much that I knew I wanted to teach at Perez. I have been working as an APE teacher for five years now and my hope is to stay at Perez for many years. I am dedicated, outgoing, a team player and I enjoy humor. I enjoy traveling, live music, nature, fishing and sports. Feel free to come to the P.E. department and say hi!

Hello Perez SEC/CTC my name is Alexander Cabral--I am going on my 10th year teaching, first teaching Physical Education for 7 years, then transitioning to APE for the last 3 years. I have had the opportunity to work with students ranging from early education 3 year old’s all the way to adults in a university setting. In addition to teaching PE here at Perez, I also teach at CSULA and coach wrestling at Alhambra HS. My favorite thing about Perez is the wonderful people who work and attend here, everyone has been very welcoming. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and cooking.
