Assistant Principal's Message
Welcome to Perez Career and Transition Center, home of the Eagles. Perez Career and Transition Center provides an innovative program that enables each student to develop vocational skills around a career pathway of interest. Our program offers classes around a variety of Career Clusters. Perez staff is highly qualified to provide our students with a meaningful and purposeful education that is standards and research based and individualized to meet the needs of each student. In addition, our program allows students the opportunity to participate in a variety of work experiences where they gain a higher self-esteem and become better prepared for the “real” world of work. Moreover, the instructional program embeds functional skills and life skills into the coursework in hope that students will develop a higher skillset to possibly be able to participate in assisted living or live independently upon exiting the program.
Alongside of the vocational programs, Perez offers classic programs. The instruction in the classic programs focuses on community based instruction, mobility opportunities via education, and social skills. Students are provided the opportunity to participate in adaptive physical education and participate in a variety of sports.
Overall, our staff at Perez is dedicated to delivering the highest education to our students as well as providing a high level of support to our families. We work as a team at Perez to ensure student success. We encourage all our students at Perez to be caring, honest, trustworthy, responsible, and respectful young adults in order to ultimately succeed at their highest levels as well as become effective communicators, adaptive thinkers, and productive citizens. It is with much pleasure to have the opportunity to support the students, staff, and parents of Perez. I’m looking forward to a school year full of growth and accomplishments! Go Eagles!
